Hogg-It, Apex 3rd Plane, CJ Pro & other dovetail sight users.....

Are you guys able to mount a one piece quiver with your sight?

Please tell me what you are using and how it's working out for you.

Short of breaking out the Dremmel tool, I'm at a loss.

Thanks for your help.

I can put a quiver on both my Hogg-It and CJ Pro3. You just have to use a set screw to mount the sight to the riser rather than the knob. I use a Bohning quick disconnect mount to my riser and then lock the quiver into that.

Sorry...I should have specified....WITH THE KNOB IN PLACE.
Are you that attached to the knob or just can't find a set screw? I guess I am curious on why you want to keep the knob in place if it complicates mounting a quiver.

My current case will only accomodate my bows with the sights retracted.

I have them sighted in with them fully or almost fully extended.

I'd prefer to keep them retracted until in my stand as well.

It's very easy to loosen the knob a bit and put them into proper position and then tighten.

I prefer this style of sight and will simply clip my quiver to my backpack if need be.

Dont think it will work with the knob on there. I wonder if you could make a tool that would allow you to get at the set screw with the quiver on? Might be easiest to just get a back quiver, if your like me you take it off your bow on stand anyway.

You know thanks to you I just realized that a quiver won't work with the knob that I just bought for my Hogg It. Dang it......But it does work with the screw that comes with the sight. Sure Loc does make a bracket for their Lethal Weapon site that will work with the Hogg It and other sights with a knob. I think I will just buy another hip quiver.

Sorry, Hornet.

I did get some feedback on another web sight. The guy had the same problem and he used an extension bracket made by Kwickee Kwiver. It worked out well and moved his quiver upwards 4" and back 2". He said that the bracket also allowed him to mount his Kwickee quiver holder at a slight angle.

This sounds like the perfect solution for me on my two bows. I'll get this done hopefully within the next week or so.

I'll post some pics when it's a done deal.

Thanks for the info. I will more than likely just get another hip quiver after really thinking about it. I will never shoot the bow with the quiver on it. I won't practice with it and as soon as I get up my tree I always take the thing off......so I don't really have a need for it to be on the bow.

The only reason that I put one on there is for ease of transporting it.

I've never tried a hip quiver but I see where that could be sweet.

Good luck and back some big one this year!!!!

I've got a Trykon XL with the Sword Apex 3rd plane. I use the Apline soft-lok quiver with the spacers and it works perfectly leaving the knob on. I then remove my quiver in the stand when I'm hunting. The soft-lok comes with spacers and longer screws that work perfectly. Give it a try.
