How do you hold your wrist strap release at full draw. I read an article somewhere saying that by only having your trigger finger on the trigger and nothing else touching the release, there should be no torque of your string by release. I must say i have tried this method recently and like it much better than having a good handle on the release. Just curious if anyone else has heard of or tried this.

I'm with the addict. I hold it to draw then let go to anchor and release. It feels better to me. I dont know that I shoot any better either way. But I think if it feels good go with it.

I concentrate on pulling my elbow, not my release, into position. I'm confidence that the wrist strap won't slip over my hand and my fingers stay relaxed for the shot.

trigger finger

I use my wrist hold the weight of the string at pull back and keep my fingers loose, similar to what others have described. However, I do put my trigger finger BEHIND the trigger to insure I don't accidentally bump it on the draw. At full draw I slide on the release to the front position, ready to shoot.

You shouldn't grip your release anymore than you should grip your bow. You should have a relaxed hand/fingers. The wife had a hard time with this when she first started with her release. It looked like she was trying to choke the life out of it!
Like most everyone else who's replied. I grip mine until I'm at full draw, I open my hand completely, then relax my hand with my fingers curled slightly.
