I made one and i love it. but i read somewheres that you can make it turn on with inertia does anyone know how.

yep

all you have to do is use an old nock ,and cut off the part that goes into the arrow use this piece and superglue it on to the end of the battery that goes into the arrow,now just place the whole thing back in your arrow (you want the nock piece that is glued onto the battery to have a pretty tight fit), then wiggle the nock out just slightly! the old nock piece will be the resistance you need to make the nock come on upon release

that would be completly possible all you would need is a type of switch that would trigger by the force of the arrow moving in flight I cant think of the type of switch i was originally thinking a type of mercury tilt type of switch but the may trigger when you tip the arrow up with point in the air

Just do what 6BC said

then turn it off just barely. When you shoot the arrow it will come on.

Here's you a link to look at. I take a small piece of wooden dowel and push it in the shaft with the thill light inserted in the nock and turned on; then pull the nock and light out and put 2 drops of super glue in the end of the shaft and let it dry. After the glue dries, insert your nock and light into the shaft leaving a 3/32 gap before nock is bottomed out. When you shoot it will press against the dowel and turn the light on.

I found that most of the lights we bought were ok until we but them on the nock, and then they wouldn't light worth a darn. Only one still works out of 5.

You can get them at walmart around here. Be careful and look at them, some you have to twist to come on, you want the ones that you push to cut on and pull to turn off. You will find them in the fishing floats. They are for a lighted fishing bobber.

i tried this same thing. i figured yall might like some pictures. this is one of the ones that i made. i used beiter 19/2 hunter nocks. i didn't have to drill the nock at all. the easton nocks would have to be drilled. i've heard that the gold tip nocks don't have to be drilled, but i've never tried them. with the beiter nock being semi-clear, it's brighter than the old luminocks (the orange ones that aren't clear)...and are around the same brightness as the current luminocks. anyway...here are the pics. once you do one, they are REALLY easy. if anybody has any questions, fell free to ask...

oh...almost forgot. i got my lights from academy, but you can also order them online ( http://www.shootnhunt.com/catalog/JM/floats_accessories/rod_n_bob_floats/index.html ). the wooden dowl cost around $.50 from walmart...the superglue around $1...and the light is around $2.50 or so. the guy that showed me how to do this told me that the red lights are brighter than the green, but i guess it's personal preference.

the red ones are much easier to see than the green or the yellow,. ive tried them all

this is the first time I used them, and I think there great, I found 3 arrows because if them that othrewise would be gonners, they don't change arrow flight etc etc how about this Idea a GPS unit that tapes to an arow
