5' 11" 220 pounds and I shoot 70# its pretty easy for me to shoot 80 shots in a day. I have considered going to 60# on my 3d bow though.

5' 10", 195# and all my bows are from 52# to a couple I don't shoot anymore that are 80#. They all have nearly the same holding weight, though. :set1_thinking:

5'11 and 163 lbs. Just got a bow and have it set at 50# to work the archery muscles. Will get it to about 60# though because that is the max for enjoyable shooting for me. I can pull back more but why? I want to be able to shoot more than 6-10 arrows before the pain sets in.

6'1" 185lbs can pull as much as 75 but prefer how the 63-65lbs feel the most....most likely my next bow will just be a 60lb maxed out though

Just got back into the sport, 5' 10" 155lbs, just bought a bow after a 3 year hiatus, it's at about 68lbs right now I'll prolly turn it down to 60-62 for hunting in the cold. Back in the day I was a tech at a pro shop, worked there from age 15 to 17 and shot religiously. I was about 5' 8" and 130lbs at my biggest, and had guys coming in with 80lb bows that they could barely get pulled back (pointing at the ceiling and the whole grunting shebang), and I could straight pull them back easily. I loved when those big 6' 5" bruisers would say "You might want me to pull that back for you son"... and I'd just say, I think I can manage. The looks on their faces was priceless, tough guys looked silly when a twig of a kid made em look weak... their buddies made it even better entertainment!
