Give advice on what it takes to get there.

My advice for members here is consider the source who is giving you information. Lots of excellant members here with years of compitition under there belts.

Exsperiance is the best teacher. Theres some great coachs and my best advice to anyone here seeking to compete seriously is seek the best coach available.

They are called cyberarchers DB, several of them post here. You know who they are.

All talk and no walk.

All hat and no cattle.

Never been there, never done that,

yet they use adjectives like "Always" and "Best" and "Never" rather freely.

Rather annoying at times.

Just giving some good advice

Lots of new members here and I think they should really consider what members they are getting there advice from.

It was also brought up today during the 3d shoot today.

If Im taking advise here. I garantee I research who is giving the advice.
But do read it all.

Also I wish someone years ago would have sent me toward a good coach. Being around and having Dean Pridgen helping me with any info I should need as helped me more than I exspress. Its priceless.

It could be equipment or anything to do with what it takes to become a competitive archer. We have some accomplished guys here that have won many shoots from state to national. Years of exsperiance.

I do feel one should exsperiance the event to give advise. I dont give advise on Fita. When I was shooting field archery. I didnt ask the best 3ders here:wink: Im currently going to shoot some pop up tournaments( something new for me). Im going to ask xcutter and some 3ders that I think might give me some good advise.

I think that goes along way. I get pm's all the time that I dont have the answer. Sometimes if members having trouble I send the link to my source to answer it for me and come back and post. But I have the contacts from members here to find that answer most of the time. Common sense goes a long way.

Not a whole lot anymore :( Not much new under the sun. Mostly I try to help folks out while I kill time in the office.

I really like reading string building threads, but even those I am virtually done with because I've basically figured it out.

I wish people would realize that 99.9% of their tuning problems is THEM. I have yet to get a bow that when right out of the box wouldn't shoot 3" groups at 20 yards...WITHOUT ANY TUNING AT ALL. (with field points) Slap a rest on it and eyeball set it, put on a sight and sight it in. It's really simple if you have good release and bowhand form.

I wish people would get the point that the idler lean on your Switchback is not causing you to miss!!!! No is that 2" paper tear with your Trykon.

ARGHHHH!!!

Dissagree

Hey DB...I don't have to shoot pop-ups to know that a level is going to useless on your sight...LOL ;):zip:

Isnt it nice to be able to dissagree. I choose the pin sight I use because it has a good large level and I plan to incorperate looking at in my shot process.
But you have raised a good question for me to ask Gillingham(Thanks and you may be 100% right)

Hey, I may be wrong. I watched Tim shoot that pop-up deal at L-Ville and I can't see judging the distance, aiming and using the bubble as fast as he was shooting?? Let us know when you find out :D

Very well put Denial,
I agree completely it is a point I feel very strongly about, if you are giving advice to others who are going to expend time and money on your say so, you should back it up with at least your name and profile but preferably some way of verifying that you have had a bow in your hand at some time.
For myself I am proud of my achievements and those of the archers I train, if anyone wants to check up on me my website is
www.archeryfix.com and if you look on www.pinwheelsoftware.com (Ontarget2) you will find Heather and I in the staff shooters page.
The advice I give on AT is free and given as a friend and as my opinion built on information from other archers as it is with most on hear.
And yes I am taking out advertising on AT as I am just faxing the contract through at the moment
Thanks Dan I needed a rant
Cheers
Peter
