All they are doing is manipulating limb angle to change ata and bh. Not a lot on the bow has to be changed other than the angle the riser ends are at.

They both are 4.3 pounds how can that be?
The risers are essentially the same. The X has a different angle on the ends. Go look at the pic on bowtech website of the bows side by side.

One thing that I don't understand is why the X has a $100 more MSRP.

Because people will pay it for the longer A to A and it takes an extra $ 0.75 to cover the cost of the longer string and cables.
I suppose it might need a little more aluminum and a little more machine time to get the angle needed for the X limb pockets.
