yes winning is a part of it....but only a small part. the biggest thing to most companys is that u can represent that company well...so u may not win every shoot u go to but if u are a good person with a good attitude, and u can help that company then u will get sponsered. just my $.02

sorry about that if you guys think that is cocky but i have a good attitude towards most things and love archery with a passion. and would love to be part of martin archery so i am trying hard
