They have been planting more and more milo around the house. How do deer like it??I have not seen one deer in the fields.I figure it is because there's so many beans around them.We never had any milo untill the last few years.

This ^^^^

The love the grain heads. When the heads pop out and start to put the doughy seeds on, they are fair game to deer. I will use Feed Milo in front of deer cameras from time to time because it is cheaper than corn most of the time, and more nutritious

I have found that deer dont paticularly care for milo here in NC where I live. We planted so dove shoot fields with millet and milo and dont think I ever saw a track in the field.. We started using it to plant or clover with because the milo and millet come up so fast it covers the clover up and they wont bother it till you mow the cover crop down and expose the clover to them. Just my experience..I dont think they like very much, but you also see shows with deer just covering up soybean fields out west in winter time. here you cant force feed a dry bean to deer!!!! No body buys 50lbs of beans for their feeders.. So it may be because there are other things to eat that they like better..

we have been planting milo for years for spring food plots, in nc and they are fantastic. the deer eat the heads off the plant when it is ready, they love the seeds. we plant about 50 to 60 acers of it all around the farm, b/w the woodlines and the fields. they also bed down it it great because it gives them great cover. it is a great thing to plant i think, that is all we plant for food plots in the spring now. it is easy to grow, and acts as a food source / bedding area. it is cheap also, can get a 50 lb bag for $5 to $8 and it will go a long way.
