How do you stop cam 1/2 screws from working loose?

I have a Hoyt Vantage X7, the problem is that the screws that hold the draw stop adjusters keep coming loose, especialy the bottom one.
I have tried thread lock but the thing just keeps working loose.
The bottom adjuster only has the one screw to hold the draw adjuster in place, and as you draw the bow in to wall this seems to push the adjuster in the opposite direction of the screw thread, therefore undoing the screw.
Any one any ideas on how to stop this happening.

Thanks in advance

Try some string wax on the threads!

Replace them with the better screws Hoyt or your dealer can deliver.
The screw you got is too weak.

(I had the same problem when I had a UltraElite, tried locktide but finally some new screws did the job)

I had the exact same issue on my new X7. I was told that Hoyt would replace the cams ( I am newer but was told the issue is NOT The screws but rather the cams) I am sure eventually I will have the cams switched but for now I simply made sure the draw length was where I want it and dropped some fletch glue on the threads. WAX or LOCTITE will NOT keep this from happening.

Haven't tried that one, yet.

I have had the lower screw loosen up on a couple of bows, and have used bee's wax melted on the screw to keep it in place.

It works quite well, and it's easy to remove when you want to.

Thanks for the input guys. any Idea what the thread size is on these parts. In the UK, we only tend to use metric screws, so trying to find unc or unf threads is like finding hens teeth

We went through three sets of cams, two bows and a lot of time trying to get the screw from not backing out on my friends new Vantage x7. We tried the blue loctite, but that would'nt hold it either. Finally, the bow shop or Hoyt used red loctite or glue, because it has'nt moved yet. I say yet, because they thought they had it fixed several time. He kinda lost a little confidence in this bow, but only time will tell. Wish I had more info for you. Good Luck. He also did the Limb Saver Stealth Shot thing to his vantage x7 and it's extremely quite now. He can't tell the difference between his Commander or his Hoyt now.

Like someothers have said, you'd probably be better off contacting Hoyt or a Hoyt dealer. They will most likely solve the problem rather than just putting a fix in place.

Fletch glue will stop it.
I put it on mine that was coming loose after 3-4 shots...hundreds through it since the fletch glue and no problem.
