Looking into getting a bow quiver for 3D/target shooting and hopefully hunting in the future and I’m curious about how many arrows yall carry in your bow quivers. On one hand, getting a 6-arrow quiver would be convenient for target shooting but a smaller capacity might allow for better balance

Additionally, any recommendations for brands/models? I’m looking for a bolt-on quiver that’s ambidextrous so I can experiment with balance on a belly-mounted TD recurve. EFA’s look enticing because of their price-point and radiused grippers but Thunderhorns are currently catching my eye

I wear a hip quiver and carry a full dz min! Especially if your starting out you will want more than 3 arrows. Shooting in groups they tend to get damaged, lost, or destroyed

Well it's a 4 arrow quiver so . . .
I have an EFA I run on my two piece longbow.
The longbow I've got coming I'll have a Thunderhorn. If I lose more than 3 arrows on any course I'm quitting and going home.
Seriously. But I was close once. Lost two, broke one in four rounds.
3 piece bows I run just a hip or pocket quiver.

I use a hip quiver for everything except hunting. When hunting, I carry 4 three broadheads and a field point.

I've always mounted a 4 arrow quiver for hunting. For practice, I leave 3 arrows on the bow the whole time and carry a full hip quiver.

If you like to do a little stumping on the walk in then 5 or 6 is good, one or two of them blunts (I do). Overnighter or long day missions where you might get a bunch of shots I wouldn't take less than 5. But 4 is generally plenty with the way things turn out.

For 3D I tend to leave a full quiver on the bow to keep the bow tune (~25gn of spine shift without the quiver) and keep the bow arm trained. Have arrows in hip quiver and shoot those. Looks a bit silly, but better than not

I run a 5 arrow quiver with 4 arrows in it. I use Simmons and they take a little space so I keep the middle arrow holder open and spread them out in the hood.

3 have broadheads on them and one has my blunt tip for stump shooting.
