Bohning Lynx 4 Arrow Quiver
Now here's the kicker!
In stand , big buck comes by, shoot arrow #1 - miss
Renock for another shot, a BIGGER buck comes up the same trail - shoot - SPINESHOT, deer drops down, starts crawling away with front legs! Arrow #2
Look at horns, realize this is one big mamma jamma, freak out, cause he is sloooowwwwlllllyyyyy crawling to the property line, nock another - aim for the vitals - shoot *****arrow hits tree branch in panicked state and explodes!**** - Arrow #3 - destroyed!
Buck still alive - nock 4th and final arrow - decide to climb down for a closer and hopefully better shot, renock, aim, shoot - Hits another branch, dives to ground - big wounded buck looks at it, continues to crawl- Arrow #4 gone
That leaves me with a wounded monster buck on the ground, very much still alive, and an empty quiver. I am not nearly man enough to "slice it's throat", so I do what any other panicked idiot would do - leave the woods, get in truck, drive 10 minutes home
and get more arrows!
Luckily by the time I got back, he was dead, 10 feet over the property line (no problems there, family friends). 138 inch 10 pointer.
I still carry a 4 arrow quiver, Bohing Lynx. I just try to keep my cool a little better!
