Pardon my ignorance.... but what is "pumping a bowstring"?

ok this is almost pointless if he doesnt explain it, but if it is what I think it is which is a problem with peep turning, then I have had to twist it a couple times before

Then I am guilty of doing when my string is new and not settled.:embara:

You take and turn the bow string a few times .While not letting it unwind.You push your bow hand foward.While pulling with the hand thats holding the bow string.And do it in a pumping motion.To make your peep come straight.[Later

really, my peeps don't rotate when I draw but I don't need to do that?
I haven't had to do that for a long time .Since i buy better made strings.

I make my strings and cables with 452X BCY and once settled my peeps don't rotate. :):)this pumping thing is OLD school. :):):)

I am guilty of that too, more so when I used to shoot solo cam bows.
