I bought a dozen xx75 shafts a while back and started shooting aluminum again. Might just stick with aluminum idk. Are there many others that have switched back?

Many people don't realize just how durable aluminum shafts really are, IF you keep your wall section at or above .015" and I prefer .017"

Tried Carbons But gone back to Alumimum years ago. Just before "Easton" opted to drop many of their Sizes and Models. This was just prior to them dropping the XX78. Since they also dropped their Patent "PermaGraphcs" Camo. Saw the writing on the Wall and found a few Dozen of the Size I had been using 2514! It works the best with my Set Up SInce 1995. Their XX75 lacks much as to their marketing they could have gone to what the XX78 Had but SInce Easton's Son took over it is all about the $. Look at how many Arrows that have come and gone that many use even "Carbon Models? You find Your Arrow and Soon it is Discontinued. But that is the Way. What works is gone. WHo wants an half in / out Inset? Who likes their HIT like used in their FMJ when the HIT on impact gets pushed back into the shaft as I tried those and after spending 110.00 for some FMJ Shafts had 3 just shooting into a foam target! Tried several things from pusing a small diameter wire but they won't come out/ . Where as the XX75 & XX78 had a Collar on the Insert never had any push back? But today it is all about marketing and changing models and names! Look at Gold Tio they only have a few different carbon models then look at Eastion as they come and Go there can't be that many differences just a name and a Label. Also Easton bough Beman those are also no more! And Carbons like to crack / splinter never had that in my 30 + years shooting Aluminum Arrows. I am bow Hunter and never worry about an arrow's Diameter which is another marketing Ploy as the 2514 has always passed thru a Deer and most don't shoot maybe 30 yrds so wind has little effect but look now at FMJ's smaller and smaller. Do see the point if a 2514 works but pay more I guess!
Years ago talk was that once carbons became more popular the price wouldcome down yet that Never happen. Even when carbon was in Demand by the military at the time. Each Manufacturer has their process weave or whatever to make them and how many Carbons are made i the USA? Gold Tip move their factory to Mexico years Ago now. Not even sure itis still there more are made in Korea. And then look at the Tolerances of the Carbons. You pay for better ones and also years back a guy that sold Arrows on AT had to index them to get them close as a group of a Dozen. Never had to do that with any Aluminum Arrows. They tolerances are much higher unless you are paying 100.00 or more a dozen. Just some observations over the Years here at Archerytalk. If you sell a good Product why discontinue It! And what Got Easton Archery to where they were was their Aluminum Arrows.
Just Sayin!

It's become a throw-away society. Use something for a short while, throw it away and buy new. When I was younger, you could buy quality that would last for many years. Therein lies the problem. If it lasts for years, they can't continuously sell it to you over and over. So make it cheaper, market it as better, sell it for more profit, repeat.
