Paper tune? As little as possible :)

I use paper to figure out problems I can't fix otherwise.

Tune, when you have bad arrow flight and you're pretty sure it's not your form.

around how often should you have to paper tune a setup?

It only takes a second to check your tune through paper so every few hundred shots its a good idea to make sure nothing has moved. After the initual tune if you develop a tear it is usually a vertical tear as a result of the string and cable creeping. If you develop a horizontal kick check for idler/cam lean as the yoke halfs may have shifted or crept at different rates.

Certainly anytime you change anything - arrow, rest, string, etc. I now check the paper tune every 6 months or so - maybe less than I should.
