Ok, I am a rookie at this. How does one go about making a mock scrape?

Dig some dirt up and either pee in it or use some type of scent? Do the "scrape drippers" work well?

Do you need to do this in an area with low hanging branches with leaves? What exactly is a licking branch?

Sorry for the stupid question, but I see many people talking about mock scrapes but can't find any info from searching on exactly how to do this. Need some guidance from the experts.

Still looking for my first archery deer. I have passed on 6 small bucks so far and have not seen ONE doe come by -- first one that does...... :)

Thanks for the advice
Keith

I searched for this on google and found plenty of info. Save your time....

I think I will try setting up a few of these this weekend.

Thanks,
Keith

Scrapes are cool. They always get checked out,but you never know when. Then the buck knows that there is another in his territory, and rattling and scents and calling become very effective. Good luck-joe
