I had the same problem with 2 sets of Alpha Shox. I contacted Simms after the first set moved and they replaced it. They claimed they changed the material. I got the second set and they moved as soon as I put them on.

Double sided tape will hold them in place or do what I did...throw them away and go with the old split limb savers.

I had the same problem and heard somewhere that the camo versions were more prone to creeping up the limb than were the black ones. I switched out my camo for black and the problem vanished.

Quick Fix

Out in Yankton I saw several many shooters with this same problem. The best remedy I saw was where Michael Braden took some athletic tape a little longer than the alphashock and placed a strip on both sides of the limbs. On the inside of each limb and put the alphashock on so it rested on both sides of the tape. Great idea, and I am pretty sure he did not have any more problems with his moving.
Hope this helps,
Kendall

me too..

i have the same problem with a camo 2003 Protec and a 2005 Ultratec. the ones with the camo limb savers the top one is the only one that slides.

i have a 2003 flame Protec target bow has the solid black alpha shoxs and they never move. as a matter of a fact they have been on for 2 years now and neither one has moved at all. i just got a new set of Alpha shox in black to put on my camo Protec to see if thats the problem.

By the way what is up with the spiral cams? I hear the bows that have them don't group that well.

I shoot a Hoyt Turbotech with the flames cut into the riser but I special ordered it with the cam and a half because a friend of mine who shoots for Hoyt told me that the spiral cams are really fast but the bow is really inconsistent.

Same problem solved

Picked up my new Protec three weeks ago. Spiral cams and 2000 limbs. Just the top limb saver moved. didn't worry about it much just kept sliding it back.
This bow has a lot of hand shock so I added a sts string stop. WOW, no more hand shock and the limbsaver hasn't moved at all.

My Supertec eats the things so I went back to the old limbsavers. They have not moved at all on the Trykon. But I saw pictures in Petersons of a Trykon with the Alpha Shoxs and the old style of limbsavers installed. I did that too.

I wasn't having much of a problem, but I still prefer the old style.

As for the spiral cams, I don't have a problem with grouping. It's all in good tuning and shooting form. If you get sloppy with either, it doesn't shoot well-just like any other bow. However, it is not a forgiving setup. The Supertec and Tubotec have 5 3/4 BH, 65% let off and no, none, nada valley. Creep and you're done.

NEGATIVE!! Spiral cams are the best cams Hoyt offers in my opinion, accurate, fast with a smooth draw and a great wall.

As far as the Alpha Shox thing spray some sticky kind of hair spray on them problem solved.
