When I put the new string and cables on the Ultra-Tec is there a set amout of twists to put into each? Like 2 twists per inch ? If the untwisted length in the tuning chart says 56 inchs should the installed string be maybe 55 3/4 inchs? I should have my Bucknasty rigging in a week or 2 and want to be ready to put them on ASAP.! Thanks for the help.

I recently called Hoyt on this issue and was told that the lengths listed are untwisted and that they put approximately 20 twists in the string and 12-16 in the cables to tune the bow.

I was told by Hoyt that they generally start with one twist to every three inches of string lenght.

Well they ain't. Neither are a lot of other companies... The AMO/ATA/ASTM standard is untwisted.... so most companies (not all) follow the guide lines at least outwardly...
