I’m looking for some new good quality hunting clothes but I don’t want to spend a billion trying to buy it all. Anybody have any suggestions on a good quality brand that’s not crazy expensive?

I got you.

Go to Midwayusa

go to whatever clothes category you want

filter by brand

choose the Midwayusa store brand

It's my primary outer wear and I could budget Sitka, etc if I wanted but would rather have a bunch of clothes so that I always have something clean to wear

I buy all my main items in 3s.....1 on me and 2 waiting clean in a garbage bag/tote

yep....we should almost stop telling people.....lest we increase demand and price goes up and sales become less frequent

midwayusa has basically replicated a lot of under armours materials and designs....and the build quality is just as good if not better

i spend good money on boots, rain wear, and my goose down midlayers and even some accessory items (stormy kromer rancher hat, gore tex glomitts, etc)

but i'm never spending $150 on a pair of polyester camo cargo pants or a simple, lightweight fleece jacket....no point.....there's no secret sauce that justifies that

Not sure what "crazy expensive" is to you but I prefer Asio Gear over anything out there... ASIO Gear

i also just found out they're on GovX so if you have access to GovX, you can buy they're products at a discount.

Just not trying to spend 400 for pants and 300 for jackets pretty much. Just don’t want to buy the name for crappy quality.

I have all Cabelas gear from about 18 years ago. Sat in storage for over a decade and still in good shape. 800 and 2000 gram rubber boots, Whitetail Extreme coverall for cold weather. Eliminates drafts up shirt if it pulls out. Recently bought some lightweight Sitka for early season and southern hunts w father in law. First time out was very satisfied. Also just bought new Merino base layers to add to my systems.

I bought a bunch of trutimber strata clothes last year and they are great! Nicest hunting suit I’ve owned and I’ve been bow hunting for 40 years! The price is great if ordered off of their website. Their customer service was great too! I accidentally ordered two duplicate orders and when I called the next day to sort it out, the gal on the phone already knew who I was. She said she had already seen that there was a duplicate order to the same address and shipped one order and had the other on hold until they confirmed I wanted the second order! I was super impressed with how they handled the transaction and just as impressed with the quality of the items!

I too am a scentlock fan. Prices aren't bad when they are on sale, and they actually fit well. I am of the opinion that these higher end clothing companies' products actually fit really well, but when you get the cheap Walmart type stuff the price is great, but they fit like a garbage bag.

Army surplus or what I get whatever is on sale after hunting season. My wife found a quilted hunter orange jacket for five bucks; have to layer in cold weather, though! I do have camo pants, shirts and jackets of various brands but don't have over $100 in all of my hunting clothes.

I would love to know how much I’ve spent on hunting clothes in the last 50+ years. From army surplus to Sitka , pretty much ran the gamut and I’ve found you usually get what you pay for. Last couple of years I’ve started buying Sitka and wish I’d started sooner. Yea, it’s high dollar but it’s quality and effectiveness is outstanding. I’ve had Cabela’s StandHunter coveralls (worked well, heavy and bulky) , the IWOM full body suit(bulky and noisy), but nothing works for cold weather like Sitka Fanatic( light but extremely warm). My suggestion is get the very best you can afford and you don’t have to upgrade later.
