I have 12 trips to Lowlands Hunting Safaris (from Norway, so i do not know the flight prices from US), and for a 8 day hunt and about 5 animals (depending on what you shoot) we pay about 6000-6500 usd. That is excluding air fair and taxidermy bills.
Absolutely a fantastic experience and worth every penny, in my mind.

Hey scotty im confused at your point, youre saying all the hunting shows has them sitting over a waterhole, but how different is that from sitting in a tree stand?

Not trying to start an argument, just confused

Africa is a lot more than waterholes, it is what you want it to bee. We do mostly walk and stalk wen we hunt there, you just haw to find a outfitter that will meet your criteria.
