SG gives you a lot of adjustment for fitting with the way the shoulder straps adjust on there heavy duty Velcro system. I’m bias so take what I say with a grain of salt. That said if I was buying today I would buy an initial ascent system. No cost savings I just love the load distribution and fit. But not enough to give up my SG yet. Lots of miles with heavy loads and blood stains (memories) makes it hard to justify another pack. For budget friendly options Mystery ranch makes decent stuff as well.
