I'm thinking of getting a Scott Little Bitty Goose for bowhunting does anyone have any experience with these? I've been using an HHA dual caliper and a Cascade 8. The Cascade 8 isn't really practical for hunting although it's nice for target panic. It's too hard to let down if you have to. I'd appreciate any input on hunting releases. I've never had a single caliper release. I kind of like the idea of the rope connection so I can tuck it up out of the way when I need to. I only quit using my HHA, because if I shoot too many arrows I start punching the trigger. I don't have any problems just shooting one arrow for hunting. I shoot a string "D" loop on my bow.

Scott

I use the Little Bitty Goose and love it it is nice that can fall out of the way for climbing trees. It is also completely adjustable for length... where other releases are limited.

Give it a try you won't be sorry.

The only thing about the little bitty goose is that you have to keep your finger behund the trigger to keep the release on the string or D loop. The Carter two shot is an excellent release and once the release is closed it will stay closed until the trigger has been activated.

I find this feature to be a huge plus when bowhunting.

If you are looking for a great release that will tuck out of the way when you are not using it, take a look at the Tru Ball Cyclone. I bought one of these and love it. You don't need to hold your finger behind the trigger either. The cyclone has a adjustable nylon strap attaching the head to the part that goes around your arm. You just can't beat this release IMHO. I have not tried the Little Bitty Goose.

I have the Scott Mongoose release... same as the little bitty goose just a bit bigger caliper and it works great. The nylon strap attachment from the release head to the wrist strap is a great idea and works well... gives you more adjustability for fitting it to your style. Sure you have to keep your finger behind the trigger when drawing but I'll take that any day over an overly complicated mechanism. The simpler the better in my opinion.

Cheers,
