Hunting sight for astigmatism

With my astigmatism all the fiber optic sights I use bloom. Only way to lessen it is to dim them down but I still get some blooming. Are there any sights out there that would eliminate the bloom but still be usable in dim conditions?

Maybe going to a smaller pin might offset the bloom.

Smaller pin, smaller peep, longer sight. I have the same issue. For target archery I tape off all my exposed fiber optic and use an etac light. The Spot Hogg MRT rings really help me make sure I get the smallest peep possible. Set it up so you barely see the inside yellow ring in bright sunlight. Really has helped me using all those things.

I use a 3/32 peep housing, either a 29mm scope, the small double vision scope or the Versa 2 Target scope. All small scope housings. I have found the #5 verifier works pretty well. The one time that I got caught in a pretty good rain was during a field target match. I did not have any problems seeing through the peep.

I’ve found a single pin 0.1 size dot on a very faint setting blooms little enough to let me shoot in low light. Prior to the current 0.1 pins, I used a trijicon bow site for years. The faint glow of the tritium and the vertical chevron tip make aiming and sighting in extremely precise. Too bad they were discontinued rather than updated to a micro adjust version. Still best sight for astigmatism I’d found.

I have it and I actually went to a bigger pin. I had a worse time seeing the small pins. There seems to be less of a starburst effect on the big one.

For most of my hunting the shots are close so I don't need a tiny pin.....my old eyes favor the big .40 I put in it much better.
