From my understanding of the two releases, the Backstrap is a tension release. The extinction is just a trigger release? Both new, so I imagine not too much experience is out there for them.

I hunt with a silverback which is also a tension activated release, at this point It’s my most consistent release.
this is why I’m thinking of the back strap. I’d like a tension release for hunting but i self film so want either something that clips on the d loop or is on my wrist without dangling too bad.

I like the concept, however I’m fully invested in hand held releases. I don’t see my self totally modifying my anchor or drastically changing my setup to go with a wrist strap of any kind.

However if you’re currently shooting a wrist strap it seems like a great way to go tension activated and not need to completely change the rest of your setup.
