I feel extremely taken advantage of

I needed limbs for a Traverse. My dealer quoted me 200. I go to pick them up today and get charged 325$!!!! I've bought alot of accessories and bows there over the years, this wasn't my first time in the door. I didn't question the price I just paid it. Are limbs really that expensive or are they making 125$ off of me to make a phone call? And no I did not need them put on the bow, I do all my own work. Thoughts???

Just think if you wanted new 2023 Mathews limbs since you need 8 new limbs. You'll feel really butt raped then.

But if the limbs cost your dealer 200 or quoted you that amount and they charged you 125 extra you to receive them you should of said nope sry don't want them and not use them as a dealer anymore. Especially like you said you been in there before to buy stuff. I know my bowtech, elite, and Mathews dealers I use don't charge me to receive items from a manufacturer.

Dealer quoted you $200, charged you $325? Sounds like you should of asked them why there was a difference.

My thoughts exactly! Why wouldn't you have asked why the difference before dropping your money on the counter?

That's crazy a $65 dollar set of limbs, should have said no thanks.
If Barnsdale is making them, they might have been cheaper.
Why in the world did you not ask why you were quoted one amount, and billed another?
Sorry, but you really screwed the pooch on that one. That’s an expensive learning experience.
One thing I’ve seen over the years is people hardly question their bill. I’ve seen it happen time and time again. Heck, if my bill is even 5 cents off, I’m bringing it to their attention.

Get it in writing with full price, shipping and taxes.

Isn't receiving goods from a mfr and passing them to you commonly called "retail sales"? How do they stay in business ordering stuff for people and not marking it up?

For bows I ordered from them they don't Mark up my new cams for said bow, or limbs if I need them that's called keeping good customers happy. If my bow shop charged me for new parts for a bow I ordered from them, I'd go over the internet and get them used or new. If I need those parts put on and I don't have time they charge me fees.

If I had a dealer order me cams for a bow i didn't buy from them and they quoted me 200 then charged me 300plus when I picked them up I'd not use them. That's not keeping the doors open over 50% mark up is robbery

BTW the issue here is not really whether $325 is a fair price. The issue is that it is more than 50% more than you were quoted. Whomever quoted you that price screwed up. Quoting prices off the cuff when you don't know for certain that they are accurate is a poor way to do business. THAT is the issue.

You were taken advantage of. I bought a set of wake limbs roughly a year ago and they were around 225 installed. Purchased some Heli-M limbs too, and they were a bit less. Also installed.
Ask questions, coulda saved ya $125.

Looks like some need to get the Cost / Price in Writing before they commit? I am wondering why this concern was not mention at the time the Op learned and paid the true Cost? Odd that if one was given a $200.00 I could see maybe some "Sale Tax" Added but that is a lot even for sales tax & s/h. But then again today some business practice one never know and so here is a thread wondering???
I would never paid that much more I would have Questioned and mentioned what you were given at the price of $200.00 and I would have walked out with No Limbs. Today money is hard earn to get hit with that amount.
Sad that some would let this happen and not mention It!
