I need to vent a little.

I ordered a Bohing Fletching jig from Bass Pro because they had them on sell. I received it 7/21/06. It was missing a few parts so I called them and was told they had plenty in stock and to return it and they would ship me a new one. I sent it back on the 21st. I called them on the 26th to make sure they got the one I sent back ok and that there would not problem with the return. They said they received the one I sent back and the return was entered into their system but it ususally takes 24 - 48 hours to ship the replacement. On Friday I still did not receive the replacement so I called them to find out if it had even shipped yet. I was told the replacement order had been entered into their system on 7/26/06 and was waiting to be shipped but had not yet gone out. I could expect the part to be shipped that day or Monday the 31st.

Well today when I did not receive the relacement I called again and was told the part was on backorder. At that point I gave up and made them refund my money. I just placed the order with Bohning direct for the jig. I guess that is what I get for being a cheapskate and trying to save $10.

The last thing I ordered from them was a flippin' stick (fishing pole). It came with the tip top smashed. The package wasn't damaged in any way so it was damaged before the packed it.

I called them up and they wanted to charge me to fix it! I ordered a tip top from Cabelas and have never bought another thing from Bass Pro. I wouldn't even look at their catalogs.

I must be one of the lucky few that have NEVER had a problem with Bass Pro, cabelas or any other large chain. I order stuff all the time from them and they have always been great. Seems like lately everybody is on a hate the large chain store rant. I for one love them and they get my business as the local "pro shop" is a joke and I refuse to step foot in that place.

I love Cabelas and the local Gander Mtn. It's just BP I have the problem with. That pole wasn't the only time, it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I love Cabelas

I love Cabelas, I live about 30 Min. away from the Dundee one, and Go thier about once a week. I do try to buy my archery stuff from Adams Archery, because I think they are good people, and I like going there.

Good Luck,
Ben

Never had a problem with them. I, too had a broken rod tip upon arrival. Exchanged with no problems.

Never a problem with either Cabelas or BPS. I normally receive ordered items within 4 business days from both...and I live in Florida.

I do prefer Cabelas as they keep my customer file w/ credit card info and I don't have to enter every order as I do w/ BPS.

As a note....I guess I must have hit Cabela's favored list as I received their bound, all product catalog recently.......made me realize way too much money spent....lol!!!

:zip: Hope I don't jinx myself...but everthing has been smooth with Cabelas, BassPro, Eagle Achery and Arrowsandtargets.com.

About the only place I've had any trouble at all was with FSDISCOUNTARCHERY and Archeryexperts. FS sent the stuff but Fex Ex lost the package. FS has someone who follows up on this stuff and had me fixed up within five weeks...sounds like a long time but it was virtually all on the Fex Ex end.

Archery Experts made up some arrows for me during one of their "Fletched Arrows at shaft cost...any vane...your choice--free". The arrows were one inch too short...they took care of the problem in no time whatsoever. Good folks...empowered to handle things at both Archery Experts and FSDiscountarchery.

Hopefully they will get you taken care of real soon. I think you'll like the Bitz. They work well and seem to be very sturdy.

They asked us to set up a booth at the one they opened awhile back about an hour from here. Said they would give us some good door prizes for our big shoot. A grand total of 2 $35 targets is what we got for 4 days worth of work and set up. I strictly go with Cabelas now as well. But I hear Sportsmans Warehouse is good as well but haven't got anything from them yet.
