A bow without a string, is just a stick. You can pick up a string from any proshop or stringmaker that carries traditional supplies. Just tell them your bowlength. Some want your AMO length and some want your actual bow length for finding a suitable string. Here is a link where you'll see a little bit of information on Bear bows.
Any AMO 66" string will be fine.
Those bow were popular in the late '60s through the '70's.
Value depends on a lot of things, mostly what some one is willing to pay for it. Check eBay for similar bows (The Bear Tarter was very similar, for example.) Natureally if it had Fred B. sig on it it might be worth a bit more!.
My guess, around $100 - 150, if on thr 8 - 9/10 range.
