Never had an issue on any of my bows but yea, i spose it could happen. Put a small rubber ball in there, probably do a better job anyway.

i tie mine in with serving thread on 3 sides. mine is still there. on all my mathews.

 

You might want to just go with one of these.

 

The irony is, I have all 3 of those, just didn’t think to utilize them that way

It seems like the dampeners are hit or miss on whether they will stay in place. Unfortunate to have it pop out in the woods though rather than at the range first.
