today I saw 2 sailboats on Toronto harbour but only 5 days ago we had ice and snow to the island ...

Frozen solid.

Here in the Sudbury region we are still frozen solid, but the weather is getting much better. (FINALLY)

rivers and lakes

we have had like minus 10-15 at night so it pretty slow going here in ottawa day time highs 4 or so top water and only the fast parts have opened up guys are still ice fishing....

Most of the lakes still have a decent base of ice here but obviously (if you've been watching the news) there are places that aren't safe RIP

spring break is a dangerous week, open water and slush ice where the snow drifts used to be, more than a few snow machines sink to the bottom...

I saw three Mallards today...and the geese are courting around the open ground around the Markham city hall...

Ice...

Here is a picture of me out ice fishing on the ottawa river Petrie Island last weekend.
And not a bad 10.5 pound walleye....
4 feet of ice last weekend still..

I was just in the inlet when you come into the park to the right.
There was only maybe about eight shacks there this year.

That's what I was referring to earlier. They were/are such a great family too. I can't imagine what it'll be like for the remaining two. I'll be giving the remaining daughter a hug when I see her.
