I have an Icon that I purchased in January. The cable is wearing pretty bad about an inch from the cam. I have a friend that owns two of them and has not had this problem. I was wondering if any of you icon owners have experienced this problem and if so, what was the fix. It is a 28 1/2 draw lenghth and is a 50-60 lb. bow.

don't they all?

It seems like all the solocams I have seen do that. My MQ1 serving will separate more and more until I eventually need to replace it. It's a pain in the butt. Some wear more than others. I thought I saw one time where a bow manufacturer was experimenting with a steel cable on a solocam. Where it split at the top, it had the metal yoke with a threaded rod like the old Jennings Carbon Extreme so you could adjust it. Sounds good to me.
