I think that I am going to puke!! Most of the the top 5 bow companies are all pretty close to the same in quality. You could buy the most expensive bow and still not be able to shoot it well, the bow does not necessarily make you shoot better, practice does. A top archer could take a $200 bow and shoot it better then most archers who shoot a $700 bow, why because they practice. The bottome line in my opinion, don't worry about what everyone else thinks, just shoot a bunch of different bows and buy the one that feels right for YOU.

Sorry about the Soap Box, had to get it off my chest.

When these posts show up, almost invariably the title to the thread clearly states what is inside the post.

Would it not be easier to simply NOT click on that thread than to discourage newer archers from seeking information?

Just a thought.:)

Your wrong

I do like to hear the opionions of the owners of different bows.

What is it they like about them. If I see a bow that many here are raving about, I often go find one and shoot myself just out of curousity.

$200.00 bows wont shoot like $700.00 bow:confused: Often times you get what you pay for. I notice you dont shoot a $200.00 bow:confused: Why did you spend the money for a switchback?

If your shooting the tournaments you need good equipment and it aint cheap.

I think many come here to hear the opionions before buying., But what you said in your last statement. Go shoot it before buying and thats what counts.

You really don't need to apologize. And you really don't have to open the thread and read it either.

I guess it's like driving past the traffic accident. You know there's going to be carnage, but you look anyways!

Of course, I did the exact same thing here with this thread, didn't I?

Now that is funny...:ROFLMAO:

Like the others have said... Just don't open them. We are always going to get new people on here. Overall that is what we want and inevitabley they are going to ask that question. I personally would like to read those all day vs the I have a crack in my limb threads...

my 2 cents

I just read one of those posts.. I look at them because i am curious to what others are shooting and liking, especially when it comes to the lower draw weights like mine. I want to see what bows are shooting faster and what they are saying about smoothness and accuracy..If there's a particular bow out there that is just way above, I want to know so i can try one myself..or at least consider the options..

Dude, chill out a little before you have a stroke. Just don't open or read any thread you are not interested in. Easy as that. Problem solved. Now where do I send the bill??

I think I will puke if I read one more post discouraging people to post what ever they want, I really find the "What bow should I buy" posts very informative. Just my opinion.

O.K. seriously now.....

What bow should I buy?

It's an easy answer! Buy the bow that fits your shooting needs, that fits your pocketbook budget and that Feels the best to you! If the bow does not fit you, feel good to you, has the "eye candy" to fit your likings then it isn't the bow for you!

It is way to easy for all of us to criticize new members for asking questions that have been asked many times in the past or for us to tell them to "Do A Search"!

We all forget that we all were once beginners and asked the very same questions! We all are here to enjoy these forums, to learn from them, to help others learn and to build friendships! So why don't we all just get along together and if we don't want to read a thread about an old topic.... then just pass it up? Geez, now that is a novel idea!  :zip:

Not sure I grasp the problem with it.. In looking back at some of the threads you started, it appears you were soliciting advice from the masses..

If someone wants to ask a question, what's the big issue?

I'm not sure, I'm just spitballing here. But I'm guessing sometime in the past you were new to the sport. :noidea: Unless you were being handed information by a friend or relative, when you first started, you probably needed to get information on what you needed to get rolling. I sure hope you didn't drive people crazy with those insane and pointless questions..

Sorry, had to get that off my chest..
