I recently aquired a set of morrison ilf longbow limbs.with my riser they make a 58 inch longbow, at about 46 lbs. My question is what should my brace height run with longbow limbs? Ive always been a recurve guy.with the recurve string for my 58 inch recurve my brace heighr comes out to 8.5 inches.seems really high, would i just be better off to order a new string thats a few inches longer?

Yeah they don’t usually work out to the the same. 7-7 3/4 is pretty standard for an ILF longbow.

Shoot it...you will know. I start all my bows high [inc my Morrison riser] and twist the string down in about 1/4" increments.

what you will find is there most definitely is a Sweet spot in Brace height....you can feel it and hear it [quiet].
