Sure - after Halloween put the jack o lanterns out in the deer woods and they'll be gone within a few days. Every bite. They must smash em with their hooves. But then there's this method:

Guys around here eat pumkin blossoms. They go crazy over them. They say you gotta get them before the deer do, so I'm guessing they'd eat the pumkin also.

Hmmmm.....I've never eaten them but I guess I'll have to try them sometime.
