How do you guys like the stabilizers on your bow and how do you want them to perform? When you shoot a shot do you want the bow to set still or kick up or down? How do you balance a bow? Do you hang it and try to level it or just shoot it and add weight to one of the stabilizers? I'm learning to shoot a back tension release and if I pull thru a shot it seems the front of the bow kicks up and if I use a punch it will not kick up. I might be pulling to hard I don't know. It seems the harder I pull the better I can hold on the spot but I shoot a little high right. I hope I don't sound to stupid but I hope I can get some opinions. Thanks

stabs and such

As for the high right i am not sure but i pull through like i am trying to pull the bow apart a si pull through. I use a stab i designed that is carbon rods with sliding weights. I move the weights until the bow feels good in my hand. Now come the fun part of shoot tuning. When i move the weights my groups will move around and tighten up as i get to the optimum position. As far as recoil i like my bow to move forward a little or not at all. My current set up moves forward ever so slightly, to most people it would be dead.

a1archer,

No stupid question here. Ask all you want. I hope I don't give you a stupid answer. :D

I like my bow to balance or stand straight up and down in my hand with it slightly opened. I dont shoot with it opened I just work to have it stand upright. I have a 3' front Easton stabilizer with two 10" doinkers on a rear "V" bar. I like the bow to travel straight forward and not tip down or up. Just what I like to feel. :)

Your pulling with the BT release may be a little strong. When I shoot BT I pinch my shoulders together more then just pulling on the release. That keeps the pulling and pushing pressure uniform so I stay on line to the "X". If I just pull I would have a tendency to shoot right.

Good Shooting,
Bill

I really got lucky with my set up. I bought the Doinker D2 elite 28.5" stab and dawg weights and also the D2 8" v-bars. I put them on and wow it was almost just right. All I did was take the heavy weight off of the end of my long stab and that was just right. This was the first time I really paid much attention to trying to get the bow balanced just right, I normally just tried long stabilizers until I found one I liked and that was it.
