Im having trouble with my inserts. Im using fastset gel nock and vane adhesive. I am looking for a superior insert adhesive. When I shoot into some targets they seem to just eat my inserts. Gimme some help guys.
I guess you are talking about carbon arrows? I scour the inside of the shaft slightly with a .22 caliber bore brush. Works on ICS size shafts. Clean with a Q tip dipped in denatured alcohol, and then glue in with Easton HIT epoxy adhesive. The stuff works great for me
Bohining Power Bond. A bottle lasts for a looooong time. I use one solitary drop and twist the insert inside the shaft to spread it around and let it set overnight. I have never, ever had a insert come out with it. If I had to guess, it is basically the same thing as Gorilla glue, but the PB has a nitrogen bubble in it to keep it from drying out and pluging the hole.
I have used the fast set glues before, but you can run in to several problems with it.
