Help I dropped my bow in the woods and now I can't find it!
In all seriousness though, is a camo bow really necessary for any game? Most of my archery hunting knowledge comes from books and this forum because I just started firing a bow this summer, but when rifle hunting camo guns seem ridiculous to me because of the distance. So my questions are these:
1) Can any game hunted recognize a blackout bow but wont recognize a camo bow?
2) With such a small visible area (even up close) why would it make any difference?
3) Wouldn't animals that see color recognize your hunter orange, dayglo green/red/purple strings, hell even the shiny open screw hole I see on the front of adjustable weight stabilizers? (even the camo ones)
I do recognize camo helps break up easily recognizable silouettes like the human body, or other natural predators. It seemed to me when I started having camo on my bow was overkill, now I'm not so sure. I've never been a fan of camo for all occasions, to me it's like a rainbow sticker on the back of a vehicle, I get it you are proud to be a hunter and you want to tell the world. But, I have always viewed it more like antibiotics; if overused it becomes less effective (easier to spot).
