I've been holding some venison in an ice chest. I allowed the ice ice to melt too much and this morning the ice was almost completely gone. I checked the temp of the meat with a thermometer and read 47 degrees. It was very cold to the touch. I immediately added more ice. I know meat needs to stay below 40 degree.
Is this meat still good to eat or should I throw it out?
