found half a nice 8 right next to the feeder today- still had blood on the stub.
probably a 14-15ish". Heavy beamed, one tine broken off G4 about 7" long.
cool

anyone have plans for somekind of homemade antler trap??

I've never made one but I've seen them. You take 3 fenceposts and put them in the ground to create the 3 points on a V. Take some fencing material and attach it to the first post wrap it around the bottom of the V and attach it to the other post. Basically you are making a sharp corner out of fenceposts and fence. Pour some corn on the ground in the corner and when a buck feeds in it, his antlers tap against the fence knocking off any loose ones. You can also use more posts and create W's that have 3 corners to put corn in.

I saw one that was so simple it was almost stupid.

5 gallon bucket if grain/corn...whatever with 3 black bungee tie downs suspending it from a limb.
They get theyr'e antler's half way stuck, freak out and drop them right there.
