I am looking at getting a couple for shooting the odd grouse. What do you use for a target to practice with? My brother says they fly different and require a heavier arrow than the rest in the quiver, is this true? My brother is a smart guy but that doesnt sound right. I plan on 3 broadheads and 1 judo point in the quiver so he is saying I need 3 arrows 1 weight then a different weight for the judo point.

As long as your judo points are the same weight as your field tips and broadheads just screw them in and shoot them. I've never had one not fly exactly like a field tip. Those little wires sticking out have almost no surface area compared to a broadhead blade and have little to no impact in flight. I carried one for years for shooting varmints and taking practice shots before climbing down on morning hunts. They work well for keeping the arrow from snaking under the leaves and grass.

This ^^^^ I have shot judo points for decades and they fly exactly like a field point if the weight is the same. I've never shot them beyond 50-60 yards, so if they are off on long distance shots you should get closer to your grouse.

I go through a lot of them in a year's time, I hardly ever shoot field points unless I'm sighting in are working on My form. I mainly just stump shoot, I find they will fly like field points until about 60 yards and then they will start hitting low, at 90 yards I have to adjust My sight to 98 to hit what I'm aiming at.

The Zwickey Judo is the toughest, best field practice head on the market, and one of archery's greatest aids. When I shot a longbow they where 90% of all I used to practice with, stump shooting in the woods and yard. I still have 2 that I know were bought over 10 years ago, and been shot 000's times. They fly just like field points of equal weight. I have 4 ordered now, 100 gr screw-ins for my carbons & compound.
