Usually all hung by know. Temps been high nineties with heat index over 100*
here. Like dbowers said, that's too much like work:mg: I have all my sweet
spot stands hung from last year. All we have to do is snug the straps back up and get in.(We loosen them in the off season, and no, they ain't left out more than a couple of seasons before they are pulled and rotated with new straps.)
As for the shot, let the critters walk on by and thump 'em quartering away..
Good luck and stay hydrated hangin' those stands......

oh man I feel sorry for you guys! It has been ver cool in eastern washington todays high is 85 and it has been getting down to the mid to low 40's at nite! well I was kind of thinking of doing the as he walks bye but Iam good on the deer moving through there but I have no clue when he is going to harvest so iam pretty scared it looks like the field is still kind of green in the low spots its a wheat field so I sure hope he waits for at least 30 more days at least give me a few! but I was thinking of getting some apples and cutting them in half and feesing there. Iam in washington so it is legal but Iam just scared about him cutting the field!

well good luck every one!

I don’t like to set a stand directly on a trail. I like to set it up about 15 yards off. Take him as he is past the stand better shot angle and wont see you draw.

I'm with ya' man, but the field may be a big open field with a little batch of trees in the middle. Kind of like an "island" for lack of a better term. This is quite common here.
Hey, Idaho, ask the farmer how much a quarter to half acre is worth to him,
and offer to buy the crop at market or slightly over, and he will take yu up on it. Good for you, and he won't have as much wheat to cut...:)

What it is is like a a big huge field with rolling hills and down in the bottom is 6 trees all in a line. I have been watching the deer either come out of the forest or some time they are bedded in the wheat and they walk under those trees every single evening I have not been able to scout the morning yet but I will. I may talk to the farmer and see what his plans are. It has been pretty wet here like we just got out first alfalfa cut about 2 weeks ago and like I said the whete is still looking green and the heads are still poking straight up but some of them they are starting to droop so I guess we will see.

I dont want a deer coming directly beneath my stand. Too much chance in getting busted and the shot is more difficult.
