OK I know this has nothing to do with bowhunting but..... on the kdwp(Kansas dept of Wildlife and Parks) home page it says there are 2200 non res firearms permits for sale starting aug 1st ,Doubt if you can get the changed for bow but you could ask.

no u cant chnge it to archery but it is legal to hunt with your bow durig rifle season if that helps
