Kinetic energy is directly proportional to the mass of the object and to the square of its velocity: K.E. = 1/2 m v2
It would seem that for hunting, more velocity would be better.
Is there another reason why the GR/LB should be higher or lower? I imagine a heavier arrow would not be deflected as easily by wind or underbrush. but in an open space with little wind, a lighter arrow would be more effective.
I am only hunting rabbits along the dirt roads and gardens, so just about anything will knock them down.
