Been looking at this for some time now and was wondering about noise. Which items are best for bow hunting from tree stand or ground blind?

 

i really like the axis hybrid set i got it last year when they came out with it. when it gets cold i just use the kenai jacket under it, and some base layer under the pants.

 

I wear the Axis pant and jacket in Verde 2.0. Love them so far. They kept me dry in a down pour that wasn’t forecasted. Friday will be my first cold sit. I’ll report back. I got a free hat coupon code today after I bought some stuff. It has to be used with a purchase, within 30 days. My Kuiu budget is blown for the year. First person to reply below me in this thread gets it. Please don’t let it go to waste.

 

The peleton 97 hoodie is a good piece for against the skin. I do not want the free hat coupon, thanks anyway!

 

Overpriced hunter wear... and guys complain about the cost of bows? $250-300 for pants? KUIU can fly to the moon, ridiculous.

 

I thought I was done with Kuiu for stand hunting but I decided to give the axis jacket and pants a try. I had the guide stuff and it was so nice to vent on the way in and worked good in light rain. It just wasn’t warm enough for my liking.

Hoping the axis is more wind resistant. Got the down pro to try underneath. I also still have the kenai jacket as well. Hoping I can layer with that and be comfy 30’s to 50s but adjusting my insulation. I’ll try it out when I get it and do a review.

 

You will be fine, the axis is perfect for that. I have been toasty in mine with the kenai under it in those temps. In the 50's I was fine with light merino under it.

 

Added a ton to my kit thanks to the sale. I think my favorite addition is the hooded Superdown Ultra in the solid olive colorway. I've also never owned a legit rain jacket so I thought I'd give the Chugach NX a try.

 

When I got in the stand today it was 22 degrees out. I had on three pairs of long underwear and a Patagonia Nano Puff on under my Axis Set. I was pretty comfortable most the morning. I only started shaking when a buck walked by and I couldn’t get him to stop. Maybe next time...
