I am a huge fan of ladder stands. Relatively cheap, very easy to install, just about anyone can use them, little to no maintenance, etc. However, I need some input.
At the property I hunt in Florida, we have a mix of both the metal grate style seats (with padding on top) and the ones that have woven fabric (more like a lawn chair). Our temperatures do not vary like in other parts of the country and they both hold up great. At the farm I hunt in Minnesota, we have only used the metal grate style but they are no where near as comfortable as the woven fabric type when you are talking all day sits. For those of that live in states with snow, how do the fabric style hold up throughout the year? Thanks for any info you can offer.
Side note- I do not take stands down until they rust out and are no longer safe to sit in. They stay up year round out of laziness and pure lack of time when I am in MN.
