I have a cabela's tree stand, about 10-12 years old and I like it alot. I would like another one or 2 but nobody makes anything like it anymore. The stands with flip up seats dont seem to have side rails anymore. While standing, I like my leg/knee up against something for stability and not have to worry about stepping off the edge. The cabelas stand is deep, about 36 inches of platform and about 16 inches wide. Flip the seat and back up against the tree. last year I purchased 2 Big Dog tree stand with flip up seats online and they are horrible. The seat sags in the front because there is nothing but the hinge to support it. Waste of money and I'm going to sell them because I hate them. i dont need a gun rest rail. These cabelas stands ( dont know who actually makes them) are so nice that i added removable bicycle wheels to it and i pull it around like a wheel barrow in reverse for out of state hunts, works like a charm. We actually own 2 of these. my brother uses the other stand and the wheels pin into place in seconds. The seats on these stands rests on the side rails and is very sturdy. A simple design that nobody seems to make anymore. I'll try and get some pictures of it posted here.

I bought my first ever flip up 2 man ladder that is a double rail from Sportsman's Guide.

Best move I've made. I'm like you. I like standing with the seat flipped and a rail plus the tree to rest against for stability.

I have a few ladders without the side rails. It would not be too difficult to add some. Just get some inexpensive pliable piping and bend them into the shape you want. Then drill holes into the frame and attach after painting. You could probably use some 2x4s instead of pipe if needed.

After doing some refurbishing on my stands, I have realized doing these things are not that difficult if you take the time to do them right.

I just put up five of these from Cabelas and they meet your requirements. Much sturdier build than the similar models I bought from Sportsmans Guide last year.
Flip up seat, side hand rails, and platform goes back to tree. Seat is similar to Millenium hang-on and very comfortable. There is a backrest and this keeps the seat from touching the tree when flipped up. I did not install the gun rail or the folding foot rest and it did not affect the assembly.

I tried to snap some photos but the camera went dead. I did get 1 pic before the battery's needed a charge. Remeasured and the platform is 19 wide X 30 deep . From the tree mount to the front of the platform is 36 inches. No gun rail-- I added a bow holder, drink holder, and back pack holder.. Pictures later tonight.

I don't know about you guys, but if I'm hanging a ladder stand, I'm not going with a single. I use all doubles. More room to adjust for the shot, room for a backpack [emoji309] on the seat [emoji575] next to me to grab whatever, or take a kid or your lady or friend.
