* Recurve Divisions - 60 lbs

Targets

New for 2008!! You may choose either the 40cm "Vegas" three-spot target face with gold-red-blue (10-9-8-7-6) scoring areas or the 40cm Single spot face with 10 through 1 scoring rings. The X-ring of the 40cm Indoor Vegas Face will be used for tie breaks in the flight Divisions and for 4th place or below in the Championship divisions. All Youth recurve division entrants will shoot on the 60cm Indoor Face and all Youth compound shooters will use the standard 40cm Vegas single spot face or the Vegas three-spot target face.

Distances

18 Meters (19 yards, 2 foot, 1/2 inches)

Rounds

Each round on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will consist of ten ends; 3 arrows per end. The Youth divisions will shoot two rounds; one each on Friday and Saturday.

Rules
A shooting rules sheet will be made available to all archers during open practice. These rules are in addition to those published in this booklet. You are expected to know the equipment rules for your division.

You may enter either a Championship Division or a Flight Division. You will remain in the same division all three days. The number of places offered in each Championship Division will be determined by the number of entries in that division. Based on last year’s registration by division, the number of places offered this year by division would be as listed. The tournament guarantees the first three places for each division will not change; however, subsequent places will be based on attendance. This will guarantee that prize money is paid out fairly based on registration by division.

Flights
Flights will be determined after the final round of competition on Sunday. The method or methods used for determining the flights can be any combination of all three days of competition. This will be done at the discretion of the tournament management.

Ties
It is the intent of the tournament to break all ties. Championship division ties for first, second and third place will be determined by the highest total score from all three days of competition (X’s will not be used to determine ties). All competitors tied with the same high score at the end of the third day will compete in a shoot off to determine final places. The following procedure will be used for the shoot off: One practice end; then end by end sudden death shoot off. A maximum of two ends will be shot using regular scoring, then ends where only the X ring scores 10 points until the tie is broken. After each end, only those still tied with the highest score will continue in the shoot off.
Each archer’s placement in the tournament will be determined by the order in which he/she drops out of the shoot off. If more than one archer drops out of the shoot off in the same end, those archers will be placed based on their total score and X count, including the score and X’s accumulated in the shoot off, then first day score, first day X’s and so on.

All other ties will be broken by the highest score in the following sequence: 1) Total X’s, 2) 1st Round Score, 3) 1st Round X’s, 4) 2nd Round Score, 5) 2nd Round X’s, 6) 1st end through 30th end, and 7) 1st arrow through 90th arrow.

Target X-ring, used for the purpose of breaking ties, will be scored outside-in (arrow touching outside of line scores as an X).

Youth Division ties will be decided by the highest score in the following sequence: 1)1st Round, 2) 2nd Round, 3) 1st end through 20th end.
