I recently bought a Great Northern quiver for my Quinn T/D. What do you experts recommend I use to keep the leather hood in good condition, but without deer spooking odor ?

Thanks,

Darren

I don't know how recommended it is, but I've always used vegetable or olive oil on my home made leather quivers, tabs, etc. Works for me.

Darren:

"Sno-Seal." It's basically beeswax that is soft in the can or tube, but dries to become a protective wax, as you use on your bowstring.

Also, unless you are hunting in a remote area where there are no farms, residences, and a human has rarely been, don't worry about a dissapating odor that is just one of many odors that deer are exposed to on a daily basis.

I can guarantee you that no matter how hard you try to cover, disguise, or eliminate all odor you carry or emit, unless you hunt in an airtight capsule you are emitting natural human odors and acquired odors that can spook a deer faster than some chemical odor that the deer has not (yet) related to danger.
