So the idea behind lenses is pretty basic. But I'm missing something. People say not to use lenses for hunting because it can make the target to big. But there are guys that slap 6x power scopes on there slug guns. I shoot both critters and targets. Could I sight my bow in with a 4x lens on my sight and take it off and go hunt with the same point of impact without the lens? Fill me in. Just want more info

If you remove the lens and leave the position of the pin/sight the same, meaning nothing else changes, you are good. You need to practice both ways and you'll know what you can be comfortable with.
