I’ve been wanting to try an elevate but I absolutely love my vista 33. I’m interested in seeing what others have to say about them both as well.

Athens make killer bows if the specs are in the area of what you typically like don’t hesitate and buy one.
I'll have both a 33 and an elevate side by side whenever Wade gets done building the string for my Elevate. I'll be shooting at 70# and between 30" and 30.5" draw. Should be a week or 2 before I head over and get it set up.

Please keep me posted when you get some time behind the elevate

The Elevate is also a great bow. I've sold quite a few of them and about an equal number of Vista 33s.

The Elevate has a better grip, stiffer draw and is 10fps faster than a Vista 33.

The Vista 33 is smoother/easier draw and plenty fast!!!

As to which is "better", that's up to you to decide. I sell a bunch of Athens (here and in person), if you don't have a dealer nearby, I'd be happy to help you out, hit me up. (I have a few Elevates in stock)

Here was my initial review of the Elevate:

I can’t weigh in on the elevate but I currently own a vista 35 and had a ridge 34 at one time. Both great shooters. The vista is probably the smoothest drawing bow I have ever owned and it’s a tack driver!

I absolutely love my Vista 35. Best shooting bow I have owned out of a ton of bows over the years. Just this year alone I bought 3 bows and this is the only one that remains.

I might be looking at a Athens this coming weekend.

Me too...

The Elevate is still damn smooth compared to most other bows on the market.... I will be hunting with the Elevate this year but acknowledge the Vista 33/35 are definitely a smoother draw.
I love my 2022 Vista 31. Fit and finish is second to none. The grip is thin and very repeatable. Draw is very smooth. No hump and dump. It holds better than I would expect from a 31” ATA. Great shooting bow. It is very close to stated IBO speed. Quiet. Not Mathews quiet, but certainly not loud.

Athens has a lifetime transferable warranty. The customer service of this company is the best I have ever seen.

Cons: grip is the riser, so it’s cold during hunting season. If you buy and sell often, the resale on these bows are poor. Dealers are few and far between.

How is the tail end of the draw cycle? I don't care for tail jumpy bows. I like a valley that you can recover from if you creep.

Very simple adjustment for how you want the back end to be like more then 90 and down under 80 percent let off. I use the 80 percent spot since I don't like the huge low hold weight and it's still very easy to manage if you creep and it doesn't want to take your arm off and not hard to get back to the wall.

As I have mentioned a few times since my bow testing experience this spring......I almost had to be compelled to test shoot the Athens Vista 33 along with the selection of "top" bows on hand. I had pretty much made up my mind on the Bowtech SS34....until I shot it in comparison. The doggone Athens was just the nicest bow of the group for draw, hold and balance.....which blew me away. They didn't have an Elevate at that time and I would not have been interested anyway because I prefer a longer ATA bow. The Vista 35 I ended up ordering has been a very pleasant surprise and I personally am looking no farther for a year or two.

I absolutely get it that with the Elite Omnia and such coming out for '23, Athens wanted to get into a shorter ATA, bit quicker model to go head-to-head......which the Elevate does. Speed always comes with a cost and I will glady forego that extra fps for smooth and comfortable in the woods on a cold and damp day. Only the individual shooter can determine which bow is a better fit for them......I clearly know what fits me.

Same cams on both bows so the draw cycle is extremely similar but as usual the longer the axle to axle the smoother they feel. This cam has the most linear and least amount of dump into a valley that I have ever felt. Just a joy to shoot. Elevate has the pic mount for a sight and the rubberized grip. A bit more speed due to the reduced brace height. Personally I like the bare riser grip over the rubberized but easily get along with both. The Vista 35 should be in the conversation for best do all bow ever built imo. I am a bit biased in that I also am a dealer for them, but only because I believe in the company and the product.

We were both pleasantly surprised with the Vista 35's, Mike. Especially coming off several years of shooting Elite Ritual 35's and wondering if there was going to be a bow built that would eventually supplant it as #1. Since the Athens arrived, I have not shot a single arrow from the Elite......which kind of blows me away when thinking about it.

Really great bow! Ive owned many, not changing anytime soon. Bad shots still hit middle.

The draw cycle is smooth and linear all the way to the stops... On the Vista 35 and Peak 38, you can't feel the transition into the valley... No hump or dump!!!!

On the Vista 31/33 or Elevate, there is no hump and dump but you can feel the transition to the valley if you shoot the 35 and Elevate side by side.... Most folks are blown away by the draw cycle the first time!!!!
