Lift RS?

I shot it today, but it was the 60# version (the RS come is 60 and 80# peak limbs), so its hard to tell. I typically shoot 75-80#, so I really cant comment at all on what the draw cycle felt like. I went it to potentially walk out with the Lift X 29, but Im going to wait until he gets the 80# version of the RS in before I decide. FWIW, the Shale grey is very similar to the grey on LWCG sticks and stands, nice color.

The RS 60# I shot had 70# mods and was pulling 55#. The mod charts shows how the mod letters correspond to weights on the lighter limbs, so there's no light limb specific mods. You'll need to know what 70# = to on the mod charts.

2nd, the way you tell the difference between the regular and light limbs is pretty difficult. We couldnt find any clear markings, but the mod charts shows the difference. The lighter limbs have a slight angle a the end of them in the limb pockets. Maybe there's something we missed, the dealer had just pulled it out the box. Obviously when 70# mods pull 55, that's the indication.

I brought it my V3X 29 to compare to the Lift X 29. Wish I would've brought my VXR 28 to compare to the RS. I did line the riser of the RS up against the V3X 29 and there wasn't all that much difference. Flip them over and have them string to string and there's a pretty big difference. Ill bring my VXR 28 to compare tomorrow, but Im almost sure the RS 27.75 will have a longer riser than the VXR 28.

The brace on the RS is short. And Ive shot short braces for a long time. I believe the RX1 turbo was 5 3/4 maybe, and the RS is 5.5. Chances are if you are considering the RS, you have a shorter draw and this probably isn't that big of a deal, but 5.5 is short even for a short brace.

I shot it at my correct draw, 27, but because the draw weight was so light, I really cant tell anything from it. The physical bow weight was stupid light though. It did have the UV Mathews 5 pin sight and a 10" BL stab and my V3X felt like an anchor in comparison (I did have a backbar and limb legs). I walked 65 miles over 2 weeks in ID and CO with the VXR 28s, feeling the LIft X 29 and RS in hand alone made me think it is worth shaving the weight.

I did shoot the Lift X 29 at 70 and didn't like the draw cycle, but it was probably more just different. The swx cams seems to stack more toward the end of the draw cycle whereas the sw cams tend to be aggressive at the beginning of the draw cycle. Again, Ive shot daily for 4-5 years on the sw cams, so anything else is going to feel off at first.

Ultimately, I have 2 VXR 28s that I probably will never let go. I will sell the V3X 29 and probably go with the Lift 29.5 just to have a bow with a slightly longer riser. Who knows, we will see when he gets the 80# RS in.

Last point, the RS does not have a back bar bushing. That'll probably be the decider for me as I have run a backbar on every bow since the Carbon Defiant...which I don't think had a backbar bushing either.

WIth the first limb shattering of the season, looks like Im holding off for a while on either. I probably would've shot the VXR 28 even if I got rid of the V3X to get a Lift X regardless. Ill wait it out and see if its a isolated thing or if we are warranting more bows for all eternity.
