New to archery, and wanted to get some lighted nocks for hunting, but was unsure if they would change my arrow/shot?
I want to practice how I will be hunting, and I understand using the same weight field-tip as the broadhead you intend to use is necessary.
My question is: would the lighted nocks on the market now be too heavy and change my shot? Do they just last for one shot?

I know these questions sound dumb, but for a beginner, the local bow shop guys can be rude and unhelpful, and searching the internet/forums for answers to questions that "everybody" already knows can be difficult.
Oddly enough it is the simple answers that are harder to fnd.
Thanks in a dvance.

Welcome to AT. Yu are discovering the down side to archery. The bow shops are going out of business, lots of them hire minimum wage workers and you get what you get! Take the bull by the horns and buy a bow press, build a draw board, and work on your own equipment. The info is on here and YouTube. If you want to see if lighted nocks effect arrow flight, buy some and test it, or add weight to your nock (glue a couple of BB's or something and shoot it)! To me, thats the fun of archery, change something and go shoot it!

Many times it's more about nock fit than anything else......but anything that changes the FOC and overall arrow weight will also have an impact on POI. It might take 20+ yards to see it but it will change.....it has to. If you hunt with them you need to sight in with them.....problem solved.

deadquiet: That's what I guess I was trying to say (I want to practice how I'll hunt). That said, could I just buy some lighted nocks and use them on all my arrows as I practice and hunt, or will they only light up a couple of times?
Same Q for broadheads too... Shouldn't I be practicing with broadheads I'll be hunting with, even if the weight is the same?

Thanks all, just new to this and want to do it right (as inexpensively as possible!)
